Both born and raised in San Diego, Abi and Nico are easygoing foodies who love to dance and have fun. Their breezy California-cool attitude was reflected in every detail of their romantic and minimalist wedding.
When Abi walked down the aisle to “By Your Side” by Sade, their guests must have had an inkling of the romance that would grace every moment of their reception. She met Nico in middle school, but they waited many years to get engaged at the La Jolla swings during a Labor Day weekend getaway. “Adorn” by Miguel served as their first dance song, and the grand entrance music was the edgy “Got it All” by Blxst.
Black and white decor served as a striking backdrop of the ranunculus, delphinium, and anemone and white roses arranged in a beautiful arch. After dining on salads, flatbreads, and pasta, guests refueled for dancing the night away to R&B, hip hop, and rap followed by a late night bite of Nashville-hot honey chicken.
