Event Spotlight: Confetti Conference San Diego
Last September Flora was thrilled to host the Confetti Conference, a “one of kind gathering for female business owners and creatives who are the best of the best in their industry and want to continue to take their business to the next level.” This intimate and inspirational 3-day event held panels and workshops on how to grow a business featuring topics ranging from networking and marketing to finances and PR. The Confetti Conference was also the first event ever at Flora, so it will always hold a special place in our hearts.
A Transformative Event for Creative Entrepreneurs
Each day of the Confetti Conference showcased a different color palette, florals and decor. Attendees were greeted by a fabulous purple and pink balloon display outside of Flora in downtown San Diego, ushering them into the venue. Inside, more pops of Lavender and hot pink accented the space. This was complemented by the attendees wearing hues of purple and pink.
The first day was all about goal setting for the attendees’ personal and professional lives. A firm favorite was a panel led by a curated group of female, small business owners. They shared inspirational stories and motivating tips on how to grow a brand.
For a break in between the panels and workshops, these lady-entrepreneurs dined on a unique and delicious custom farm-to table-lunch from Banyan Kitchen SD.

On day two, the women were welcomed back to Flora by a vibrant, oversized marquee sign spelling out ‘’Confetti’’. It really set the fun and upbeat tone for the rest of the conference. Sunset colors were the theme for the day and the venue was beautifully accented with tablescapes, flower arrangements, and decor in colors of gold, orange, and grapefruit pink.
This day was dedicated to marketing with an emphasis on how to formulate a plan of action for leveling up a business. The panels and workshops tackled how to build a long-lasting, compelling brand, how to make a real impact online and PR for small businesses.
In the evening, the attendees headed to the Guild Hotel in the heart of downtown San Diego for dinner at Luca. In the restaurant’s Riviera-style courtyard, they sampled creative-contemporary Mediterranean flavors made using California’s finest seasonal ingredients.
Day 2 Speakers
- Wendy Generes: Writer at San Diego Home/Garden Lifestyles
- Kiana Cabell: Co-Founder of Kopari
- Jillian Clark: Co-Founder of 100 Layer Cake
- Jaymie Tarshis: Social Media Strategist
The Confetti Conference saved the best for last with a white color scheme for the final day. Decked out in chic ivory attire, these ladies became even more stylish when they were treated to hair and makeup from the glam squad at the Hot Seat Salon. Looking absolutely gorgeous, all the attendees had the chance to get their photos taken for a professional headshot.
The conference commenced with an interactive panel. Every attendee had the opportunity to ask the speakers questions about their firsthand experience in building a brand and learned some industry secrets.
Day 3 Speakers
The Confetti Conference San Diego was a spectacular event that far exceeded its goal of building up these lady-entrepreneurs’ strengths. We can safely say that all the incredible women in attendance left feeling empowered and inspired.
