Event Spotlight: Loren + Justin’s Wedding with a Scottish Flair

From joyful baby showers and bonding family reunions to monumental retirement parties, we love nothing more than helping you make a statement at your unique event. In this month’s event spotlight, we feature Loren and Justin’s special day.

Save the date –

Loren and Justin envisioned their big day to be infused with creativity, unique touches, and nods to their families’ heritage. This spectacular wedding celebration all came together on February 20th, 2020.

The main event –

Loren & Justin’s dream was to have their wedding in Scotland, so they brought the Scottish Castle to San Diego for their wedding. Every detail of the ceremony was awash with personal elements of their heritage beautifully woven in with the wedding’s vintage, boho charm.

Flora was decorated with velvet banners made by Loren’s family members in muted hues of purple, green, red, cream, tan, and dove gray. One extra special mustard yellow banner was embroidered with “Love you most” – the couple’s favorite saying to express their forever love to one another. White candles were also strewn around the couple during the ceremony, adding to the romantic ambiance and making Loren and Justin simply glow.

Loren’s lovely lace and tassel wedding dress was complemented by a white, wide brim boater hat (from Lack of Color) with a stunning veil dotted with metallic stars attached to it. Her bouquet of rustic, dried wildflowers further accented the earthy color scheme and vibe of the wedding. For a personal twist to the usual wedding tux, Loren’s brother-in-law wore a traditional kilt to honor their families’ heritage.

As one last memento before the reception party kicked off, a celebratory group photo was taken after Loren and Justin said their “I Dos.”

The Party

For the reception, Loren traded her hat for a dreamy Amaroq Design crown adorned in crystals and pearls and her heels for Dr. Marten combat boots. She also changed into an adorable, puff sleeve, mini babydoll dress to make sure that she would be comfortable while celebrating.

Loren and her family curated the design for the tablescapes. They choose a simple and elegant look. Think bunches of dried flowers in vases, organically placed eucalyptus leaves, and white candles that perfectly complemented the ornate cut glass stemware.

One of the most memorable and special moments was when Loren’s family surprised the couple with a slideshow of them growing up during their dances with their mothers. And the fun continued into the night with handcrafted cocktails, a delicious dinner and a couple jigs.

Every minute of this boho, Scottish-inspired wedding was filled with joy, smiles, and tons of handmade family touches. We’re so honored to have been a part of such a wonderful day, and we can’t wait to be part of your special day as well.
