Event Spotlight: Rachel + Paul’s Timeless Wedding
At Flora, we love nothing more than bringing your special celebrations to life from corporate events that will be the talk of the office for years to come to unbelievable fundraisers. In this week’s event spotlight we feature Rachel and Paul’s special day.
Save the date
It was love at first sight for Rachel and Paul. Always knowing that Paul was the one, Rachel even wrote her vows three months into them dating. Their big day all came together on November 24th, 2020.
The main event
Everything about Rachel and Paul’s wedding was touching and heartfelt with an added dash of playfulness. As a keepsake to honor the day, Rachel gifted her mom a custom, hand painted portrait of the two in their wedding attire.
Rachel also had an unforgettable first look with her father where she presented him with a handkerchief with a beautiful poem on it. But for her first look with Paul, she had something a little different in mind. She wanted to surprise him, so one of her brothers slipped on a T-Rex costume and came out before her. Sheer joy swept across Paul’s face when he saw the T-Rex which turned into tears of happiness once Rachel appeared in her gorgeous lace and chiffon gown and took Paul’s breath away.
The couple chose to keep the wedding decor simple, timeless and stunning with gauzy, white fabrics, tasteful gold accents and plenty of lush plants organically placed around the venue. This design scheme really allowed the couple to shine throughout the wedding.
Rachel and Paul wanted their loved ones to feel like they were as much a part of the wedding ceremony as possible. Rachel’s nephews both walked down the aisle, one holding a ring security box and the other handing out candy to all of the guests. Then, during the ceremony, the couple asked all of their guests to write prayers or well wishes for them.
The Party
Once the reception started, the fun continued. Rachel and Paul love to travel and wanted to incorporate this element into their wedding. So, during dinner the guests were treated to short black and white videos of the couple enjoying adventures around the world. And when it came time for the speeches, Rachel’s 11 year-old twin brothers gave a very special combined speech to the couple.
During the reception, things started to heat up when the couple’s friend “Fireball Paul” rounded up all of the adult guests to drink shots of Fireball and cheers to the newlyweds. This lively moment happened while Pitbull’s Fireball played in the background. The wedding ended with the couple and all of their friends and family dancing the night away.
Every minute of this classically beautiful wedding was filled with joy, smiles and tons of personal touches from start to finish. We’re so honored to have been a part of such a wonderful day, and we can’t wait to be part of your special day as well.
